Operant Solo is an independent technical publication built for one-person businesses, boutique agency owners, and independent operators. We focus exclusively on the intersection of AI agents and workflow automation.
The era of scaling a business by hiring massive teams is ending. Today, a single operator armed with the right API connections, webhook routing, and large language models can output the work of a five-person agency. We are here to provide the blueprints to make that happen.
The Testing Lab
We do not write generic software summaries. Every tutorial, automation blueprint, and tool review published on Operant Solo is tested in a live production environment.
Our background is rooted in Python development, custom data cleaning pipelines, and web scraping. When we evaluate an automation platform like n8n or Make.com, we aren’t just looking at the user interface. We are stress-testing API rate limits, evaluating JSON parsing capabilities, and finding the limits of the software so you don’t have to.
Editorial Transparency
Our goal is to be the most reliable automation resource for solopreneurs on the internet.
- No AI-Generated Reviews: We use AI to write code snippets and structure data, but every review and step-by-step tutorial is written by a human who has actually built the workflow.
- Objective Comparisons: We highlight the flaws in software. If a platform has terrible error handling or hidden pricing tiers, we will explicitly document it.
